Obama “It Could Happen To You” Commercial

During the Democratic primary of 2008, Rider and Shiloh joined with Alexandra Barreto and created a spec commercial to enter in MoveOn.Org’s “Obama in 30 Seconds” competition. Their ad went on to win “Funniest Ad.”

Months later, when MTV aired their first political ad ever in support of John McCain, MoveOn decided to fight back putting Rider, Shiloh and Alexandra’s commercial on the air. After raising more than $250,000 from its members, MoveOn made “It Could Happen to You” the first political ad to air on Comedy Central.
